TYPES OF FACES AND MAKE UP THAT FITS... PART 1

HEY READERS, HOPE YOU HAD A FUN WEEKEND?

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR FACIAL STRUCTURE IS A PLUS WHEN APPLYING YOUR DAY MAKEUP…

TYPES OF FACES AND MAKE UP THAT FITS…

Facial structure should be analyzed to ascertain the facial type so that irregular features are made less noticeable. To achieve this, you must understand the basic face shape…

1.       OVAL FACE.
2.       HEART SHAPE.
3.       ROUND SHAPE.
4.       DIAMOND SHAPE.
5.       SQUARE SHAPE.
6.       LONG SHAPE.
7.       PEAR SHAPE.

OVAL FACE: This is said to be an ideal shape. It is the most balanced face that needs no corrective make up or special hair style. Eye brows should be shaped in its natural arch. Blush on the cheeks should be applied in a C shape and blended up to the outer of the eyes; while lipstick applied to the lower lips should be outlined to create fuller lips, and the natural line of the upper lips should be followed.

HEART SHAPE: This shape of face has a wide forehead and narrow chin. Apply a lighter shade of foundation on the width of the chin and jaw line, then apply a dark foundation to minimize the width of the forehead. Eye brows should be thick following the natural arch, but with a one eye distance between the brows. The natural lip line should be followed when applying the lipstick.

ROUND SHAPE: A round face has an almost equal width and length proportion. Adding length to the shape can give you an oval face which can be achieved by using a deeper shade of foundation on the sides, to give a slender look to the jaw, a dark color of foundation can be applied on the jaw line and under the cheeks. If blush is applied on the cheekbone and blended towards the temple area, cheeks will look narrow. Lipstick should be applied on the inside of the lip line while eye brows and eyes should be given a longer appearance with the help of the brow pencil.

DIAMOND FACE:  This facial type has a narrow forehead and chin with wide cheek bones. To achieve an oval face, reduce the extreme width of the cheeks by applying a darker shade of foundation to the outside of the cheekbones extending towards the outer corner of the eyes. A lighter foundation can be applied on the chin and forehead to create an illusion of the width to the face. Lip stick should be applied in the natural form of the lip line, while eye brows should be slightly apart from the center arch, and then follow the natural arch.
